Commissioned work.

This is Dallyete Daiyka, he is a Coelophysis dinosaur, and a very intelligent one at that. He comes from a civilization akin to Rome.

I'm trying out a bunch of different techniques in CS3, and Daiyka was my guinea pig. ;) I'm quite pleased with how he turned out in the end. I'll post the unclothed version of him too in a sec.

I really like this piece. I'm no scientist or cryptozoologist, but it looks like you may have gotten the anatomy correct (obviously based on other people's attempts as actual live dinosaurs cannot be studied being there is none known to exist still). I also like the "robes." The feel that the dinosaur is intelligent due to the clothing is wondrous to me. Also I admit that Coelophysis was one of my favorites as a child.

Coelophysis are amazingly graceful-looking dinosaurs, and this one is a fine example of his kind. He looks like a character straight out of Dinotopia with his magnificent robes and his crown shows that he's a very important member too.

Whatever techniques you were trying out, it certainly worked! =) He's extremely realistic in every way, and he's got character too. With your obviously great skills in drawing dinosaurs and similar animals, I'm surprised not to find any others in your gallery! I'll be watching this spot...

Mmm, truely wonderful. The colors are just lovely, and the objects add such a fantifull feal to it as well. I am reminded of Dinatopia ^___x A wonderfly illistrated book, perhaps you have heard of it? If not, you should look it up, you'd enjoy it.

Looks very slick, I love the textures and geez, you made it just...I mean I've never seen a dino, but I could swear you were looking at one when you painted this.
